Baxter Management 20k In 2020 Giveaway

The National Bureau of Economic Research declared the start of the current economic downturn in February of 2020. That year became the start of challenging years to come for most individuals and businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to The Congressional Research Service, the unemployment rate peaked at an unprecedented level in April 2020 (14.7%), and by November of 2020, the unemployment rate declined to 6.7%. This number was still high in comparison to what the economy has ever faced in decades.

With the combined efforts of Support Local, Baxter Management organized a giveaway to give back to its local community. Baxter Management gave ten thousand dollars to nominated non-profit businesses and an additional ten thousand dollars to deserving individuals and families in Maury County, Tennessee.

With over 300 nominations, five non-profit organizations were selected. Warfighter Gardens, Center of Hope, CASA of Maury County, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, and ThriftLove. The nominations took place all through December of 2020, and a $2,000 donation was given to each organization, with $500 given to twenty deserving individuals and families.

Baxter Management would like to thank its local community for participating and assisting these non-profit organizations and families. The Baxter Management team values our community tremendously, and this is one way to thank you for the continued support and growth we have seen over the years. Baxter Management plans to continue other efforts throughout the year 2021 to help more families and non-profits in the Maury County area.
